Postman

I met with four of my schoolfriends this morning for a lovely couple of hours at the coffee house. Lots of chat and stories - such fun. 
On the way home I popped into the Butterfly House to check on our charges and get a blip as I knew it was going to rain this afternoon. 

This is the Postman (or Heliconius Melpomene) from Central and South America, and we haven't had many of them this season. Apparently, it was in abundance last year.  Still a bit cool in there despite the heating being on. I hope the sun shines between 12 and 2 this weekend as it does make the butterflies more active.
