Tiny cuts (TT384)

Apologies for yet another Ch#####as related blip.
The additional tune from yesterday's blip was Pachabel's Canon - it goes very well with the carol on the music sheet.  Like this

Tuesday was something of a whirl* so I used the setup from Monday's blip and borrowed one of Gill's art pieces.
She has been experimenting with the lino cutting tools she bought last week and has made several small stamps for cards.   The point of buying the new cutters was to get finer lines in the final print so small scenes are a good practice piece.  This whole tree is ~ 50mm tall so I guess it just about counts for Tiny Tuesday.

The ploughed field background is where the surface of the lino has been cut away,  that won't print so the rough surface is not an issue.  The black lines are Gill's guide marks so the smoother blue behind those is what will take the ink and print.  I can see her achieving finer lines once she has had more opportunity to practice.

One of my tasks for today is to cut a few small wooden blocks to fix the stamps to.

*
2 hours grass cutting/leaf blowering at the church - smell of 2T petrol mix and my shoulders hurt!
quick lunch
Yoga class - shoulder loosened off
Cut out own grass
Early dinner
Pension webinar - depressing when they talked about UK government bond rates.
Camera club (the other one!) I had a joint first with a print of this blip

Thanks to JDO for hosting Tiny Tuesday.
