Lichfield

We had a good night's sleep and woke to bright sunshine this morning. So after a leisurely breakfast and refreshing showers we headed in to Lichfield for some browsing. We began with coffee, which wasn't the best, but I did have a nice piece of chocolate fudgecake.

We then moved on to spend time in the amazing cathedral. The architecture and history of this building is mind blowing. Such intricate carving, like nothing I've seen before in this volume. It is absolutely covered in figures. Apostles, kings, saints.

From there we devoured the charity shops to find reading material. Now we are enjoying some lunch before we head back to the car. I will post theblip now, but a relaxing afternoon is planned. Drinking tea, and reading I expect!
