Crocosmia

One of our crocosmias is only just flowering. I hadn't realised what a range the species had. This is "Emily MacKenzie.

I went to a meeting in the village hall this afternoon. I was being a guest of the Social Club, a group I hadn't been to before. I found the hall wasn't empty, but neither was it full with the layout I'd expected. I'd got the wrong week.

My presence however was welcomed. I was told to sit down and have a cup of coffee and a chat with the small group! I'd gate-crashed the Craft Group. The ladies were sitting with sewing, knitting and crochet but I was told "Making something isn't essential: chatting is!"

I may go back with a tapestry laid aside 40 years ago.
