Travelling

A long day of travelling.  Up at 6.00am (4.00am UK time).  Coach to Izmir where we caught a flight to Istanbul, and then on to our flight to Heathrow.  By the time we collected the car it was 6.30pm but as it is too far to get home we drove as far as Cambridge where we are staying the night; we'll get home tomorrow.

It's been a great holiday but it ended on a bit of a sour note with a couple of things yesterday afternoon and evening; feedback will be given to the holiday company.  The hotel we were in for the last few days is the last place I would want to spend a full holiday but it was great for three days, with comfortable rooms and lots of facilities.  My photo is of the view from the breakfast room this morning over the pool and out to sea.  We had a bit of a chuckle at the queue of around 20 people waiting for 8.00am, the earliest time they were allowed to put towels onto sun beds to reserve them.  Suffice to say it was real life confirming the reputation of the particular nationality involved.
