Talking greylag

A perfect autumn day.  After a busy morning, this afternoon I took myself off to Lakeside Country Park to see if any of the avian winter visitors had arrived.  The answer was, just a few greylag geese, and they were quite small so I wondered if they were young ones that had stayed here all summer.  Would that be possible?  They were certainly well versed in extracting bread from visitors - and very vocal!
