Valley textures

It was a beautiful afternoon. I walked through the village to the dry course of the Nailbourne, which runs along the bottom of the valley in years when we have rain, and a little way along the path which runs beside it. The colours were vibrant, and areas of long, dry grass, seed heads and dried dock stalks contrasted with the smooth green grazing land and the vivd green stripes of wnter wheat. These were my two favourites for the Wide Wednesday texture theme.

This comes hot on the heels of yesterday's Tiny Tuesday insects, uploaded just a little earlier this evening, so if you have time do flick back to them too.
