Golden

A very wet morning was followed by a sunny afternoon, with more golden autumn light. 

I only stepped outside briefly today, but have boiled quinces with a tub of 2019 raspberries from the bottom of the freezer and transferred the pulp into the jelly bag; then pickled four large jars of beetroots. This was good displacement activity, as it kept me too busy to tackle some emails I didn't want to write. 

Tonight is movie night with J, and we are going to watch the selection from the Factual Animation Film Festival, which is available online this week. Last year, their festival was entirely online, and included one of J's films; this year, her entry was not part of the selection, but the programme of short films looks varied and interesting.
