Inside looking out…….

…….lunchtime, Sunday.
On our way home from church this morning the skies suddenly emptied their inky purple clouds in a heavy downpour, which lasted some time.
The temperature in the car went down enough to make the windows begin to steam up!
The Chicken Cacciatore that Stephen. had made for our lunch was very tasty, along with chunks of his homemade bread.. I took my photo not long afterwards.
I then began to watch a series on tv and ended up asleep!
We had put the living flame gas fire on in the front lounge as it was feeling decidedly chilly indoors. It was very cosy and had a soporific effect.
I woke up to the low sun lighting up the tips of the climbing hydrangea which grows on the side of the front porch. The leaves are now almost their autumnal green to bright yellows.
I noticed a confused cherry tree coming into bloom in a nearby road when we drove by this morning.
It’s these very unseasonable temperatures we’ve been experiencing.
Just now it is 13C outside 7C less than this time yesterday.
Now at 16:20 it is gradually becoming a little darker outside. Sundown will be at 16:40. We do still have the kind of afterglow effect for a short while.
A lovely large crescent moon is now glowing in the sky. I got the binoculars to take a look and can see some craters and some of the darker patches. Amazing really.
Time for a coffee.
