Some of the Last of the Colors at Dry Hollow

It has been gorgeous weather here lately, sunny and warm in the afternoons. And we wanted to go somewhere hiking, but not far, so we headed over to the former Dry Hollow property, just a few miles from our home.

The foliage colors are fading as we move into early November, but here and there, some standout trees remain. The oaks are chiming in now, in their maroonish shade, and we saw some pretty yellows here and there. This was my view down the pathway on our walk out, of some of the last of the colors.

Here is a song for a dry hollow: Don Williams, with Till the Rivers All Run Dry.
