Clothes clothes everywhere!

The day dawned for our clothes swap - it was absolutely brilliant! Loads of people came, a great mix of folks...a great atmosphere too...and 800€ raised for 24-7!! We were shattered by the end of it! Asha had the morning in the north of the island doing a foraging and cookery session, gifted by a friend...so a good few hours for all of us. Nate loved helping on the ticket table, taking people's tickets for their items 'purchased'. My new wonderful friend, Sue, who's lived here for 57 years (and is soon to be 80 years old) is keen to get involved using her contacts to get us more support for the centre. She's a powerhouse of a woman, and as Danny said, that's the kind of woman I enjoy making friends with, ha!

Today I'm grateful for;
1) One of our friend's who is in the hotel business bringing us loads of tins and dry foods left over from the hotel kitchen...to be used for our friends on the streets.
2) Receiving a lovely video from yesterday's hungry friend, showing me round his tent and thanking us for the food which has lasted through to today.
3) The ES church's kindness in organising and hosting this fundraiser for us - they're a gorgeous support.

Joy theme today is gratefuls that are acorn-sized;
1) The gorgeous little carob balls that Asha made and brought back from her morning.
2) A gorgeous tiny patch of rainbow light shining through the goldfish bowl this morning.
3) My blessing bracelet beads, reminding me of people I love and want to pray for regularly.
