Baby, you're a firework!

With LadyV’s birthday celebrations entering their second day (apparently they last all week), we headed out for a walk around town and scored some incredibly sweet hot chocolates from Caffe Nero to fuel our walk n talk.

This was all just to set us up nicely for a celebratory Sunday roast lunch at The Masons Arms (and a cheeky glass of red) before we collapsed and dozed in front of the football back at mine. She disappeared off back to hers as the reality of washing and getting our houses ready for the return of our respective children set in, but a couple of hours later we reconvened at her place.

Courtesy of a box of low-noise fireworks provided by LadyV, we provided an impromptu and very quiet, mini firework display in the square. It was so lovely though as neighbours emerged from their houses to watch and small children apparated from all corners of the close to claim a sparkler - also provided by LadyV - but far more impressively, I managed not to blow myself or anyone/thing else up in the lighting of the ‘works.

Frustratingly, the last firework of the night proved to be a dud, but outside of that it was an infinitely more fun evening than last night and a very lovely way to finish a great weekend!
