Cathedral Close

A dull grey day and I took the train into Exeter for some shopping.  Its not that often I go physically shopping since Covid tending to look online for items but sometimes its necessary.  A few items were bought and I had a quick wander around the streets before heading back home.  I took several shots of the old doors and windows of historic buildings in the area around the Cathedral.  This door to number 12 Cathedral Close was probably the former gatehouse to the Abbot's lodge that was situated behind.  It was damaged during bombing raids in 1942 and was completely rebuilt.

Camera club in the evening so back into Exeter again.
