The accidental finding

The old pub in Stonehouse

For years now this building has housed a health centre and pharmacy. If only our horrid 1970s building in Stroud had as much character!

Went to Stonehouse with A, a friend of GS, our mutual friend, who died recently. We were attending a lecture but first we toured the charity shops and the new canal bookshop, which was very enticing. We managed not to buy anything at all. This was in spite of the fact that I've been told to dress as a kind of Christmas elf or something to deliver hampers to vulnerable clients near Christmas time. Is it time to look for That Jumper again?

Anyway, the lecture was long but interesting. One person forgot to turn up and had to be phoned, another person had been told the wrong time to turn up by the lecturer, who had apparently told the whole Zoom class the wrong time...fortunately there won't be any more lectures for me to organise any time soon.

Now I'm home, watching Children in Need. Friday Night at last!
