Autumn Blipping

Over to my Dad's today and the station was in chaos! All the trains were running late by about 20 minutes. When the one I was catching arrived it went onto a different platform and a platform change was hastily announced. Cue as many people as a two-carriage train will hold plus a few stampeding over a narrow footbridge whilst other people were struggling to go the opposite way to get their train.

I allowed myself to be carried along in the crush and was lucky enough to get one of the hard little single seats in the gap between carriages. Another family were frantically looking for their Gran - two sisters each thought the old lady was with the other. Fortunately she had somehow managed to cross the bridge before either of them and had secured a table for the family.

I got to my Dad's and he was panicking about an appointment he has on Monday. We had tried to book transport with a specialist service for elderly and disabled people and they had not got back to us, so he is now going to have to drive himself which is what he is worrying about. I'm not sure why as it's nothing he's not done before, many times. I will go with him of course, though they are not going to allow me into the waiting room as it is small and soon becomes crowded. He says it will probably take all day - his previous one did! So I'd rather not have to wait too really!

I'm feeling quite under the weather myself at the moment. I feel nauseous, achey, tired, fuzzy-headed and my throat feels a little sore. Nothing obvious that I can say that it is but definitely not right! It could just be due to spending all night on my feet in the cold at work!

Brian picked me up and I took this shot on the way home. I think it makes a lovely Autumn scene, though it is starting to feel like winter now!

I'm happy as I can relax now until Monday - hopefully I will feel better by then!
