A Day In The Life

Tree of Love

It’s Thanksgiving Day. A day symbolic of abundance, a day to be grateful, and thankful, for the food on our table, for those we’ve gathered to share it with; it links us to the past, yet also brings hope for the future. Thanksgiving “rights” us somehow, bringing equilibrium to our lives, reminding us of what’s most important • The neighbor behind our house has two apple trees. I enjoy monitoring their changes from one season to the next. For centuries Native Americans have expressed gratitude for nature, specifically trees. Cherokees referred to trees as Standing People. Trees symbolize permanence and longevity; their bases symbolize roots, and our ongoing relationship with nature. As does Thanksgiving, trees keep us grounded to what matters most, and since the apple is a symbol of love, an apple tree seems most appropriate for this Thanksgiving Day • Thanks to google and Liliana Usvat • Peace, Love & Joy from our home to yours!
