Early Morning Duck

An early morning walk - it was very frosty - and then to work.  TT had the day off to take BB to a hospital appointment – a follow up with his consultant in Edinburgh.  They got the news that was hinted at back in the summer when he was in hospital.  He needs a further exploratory op to decide on the next steps.  BB is totally devastated.  I think he just didn’t want this to be the case.  Poor lad doesn’t want to talk about it.   He went back to school for his afternoon classes, but reluctantly.  I do hope that double maths took his mind off it.

Meanwhile I had a full on day and was very pleased that TT had the day off and was around this afternoon, as late morning I discovered a leak.  Not what we needed.   TT investigated and said we needed a plumber.  I found a number and we were really lucky that they had a plumber working nearby and he turned up much faster than we expected.  He has done a quick fix, but further work is required.  We got him to look at a dodgy tap and the shower while he was here.  He gave TT advice on what to do about the shower, and is going to replace the tap.

TT made tea and then went off to a church event.  He missed his team playing this evening.  I popped out for a  couple of things.  It  was frosty and slippery underfoot.

There were a few ducks at the weir this morning.  The heron was at the other side of the bridge, but it was just too dark to get a picture of it.
