Nicky and her Nikon

We left home very early and were in Norfolk before 10am. It was foggy throughout our journey, particularly around Cambridge and Ely, but when we got near the Norfolk coast it was clear. We quickly unpacked and then took Xena to the beach, her favourite place to run around chasing the ball. We had all weathers on the beach - it was clear when we arrived, then we had a little rain, which was then followed by beautiful sunshine. This was taken after the rain.

Gavin is not feeling well, he has a horrible cold with a sore throat. Not surprising as he is keeping ridiculous hours at the moment, he leaves home at 6.15am and most evenings of a week he has a work/school/Skinners function and gets home at midnight. He also has not had much chance to exercise lately, and as we all know exercise is essential in keeping healthy and ensuring longevity. All the exciting news this week about the new drug to treat Alzheimers qualified the report by saying that exercise is essential to prevent Alzheimers. Living a lifestyle that involves regular exercise most definitely makes one healthier.

After our walk on the beach we dropped Xena at home and went to our favourite place, Thornham Deli, for lunch. Today we both had smashed avocado with poached eggs - it was the best I have ever had, the eggs were perfectly cooked (I hate it when the white is runny) and the avocado was so tasty with chilli and lime. Plus they serve the best coffee on the Norfolk coast!

After lunch we went to Hunstanton to go to a pharmacy for Gavin to get some cold medication, and I took a few photos at the zigzag groynes - although it needed to be totally high tide for the shot to work. I have added some extras here if you are interested.

Now we will have a lazy evening, supper is already cooked and then we will watch some TV - not sure Gavin will last more than 5 minutes!
