Out on the tiles

Woke rather earlier than I had hoped to but probably as well as I had to take Phin to doggy daycare as we had plans to spend the afternoon in town before our concert at night. A few snow flurries in the morning but it wasn’t very heavy.

Cooked sausage, bacon and scrambled eggs for a late breakfast to keep us going until our early dinner at 5.30. We had a relaxed hour or two before we got ready to head into town on the bus. We even managed to convince Mr PHL to apply for his free bus pass!

Unscheduled rain sent us scurrying down to the bar Miss PHL works at part time and we were lucky to secure a table which meant she could join us for her break. It was nice to catch up on her news as we haven’t seen her much recently.

Unfortunately it was still raining when we came out and that combined with the crowds and long queues to get into the Chridtmas market sent us off to the bookshop before heading to the restaurant for dinner. Another lovely meal at Pho and we went off to the Playhouse for the evening’s entertainment - the Proclaimers supported by Blue Rose Code.

Disappointing that so many people talked through the support act (who were very good) and filmed, messaged their friends or checked the football scores during the Proclaimers set. The show was wonderful but they fairly rattled through their set.

Getting out took a bit of time as everyone tried to head to the toilets before they headed out and the staff directed everyone to one set of toilets near the stalls. We missed a bus home by minutes and had quite a wait for the next one though thankfully it had stopped raining but was a bit icy underfoot. Home just after midnight so another late night!

Backblipped Monday 12th for Saturday the 10th.
