Beyond the Bridge

I dropped J off at the hospital first thing, and then on my way back home called in on nearby Wigg Island. It was bleak. Out on the river a few gulls and a couple of curlews were braving the cold.

Another Fiddlers Ferry shot to add to the collection. From Wigg Island it is viewed beyond the newish toll bridge which crosses the Mersey here. It’s been named the “Mersey Gateway” bridge, which just doesn’t work for me as a title.

I returned mid afternoon to the hospital and was allowed in. Another long day for J. I’ve been getting on with our list of things at home.
