Success

Slowish start after not the best night’s sleep….I’m still struggling with a sore back each morning. Anyway, some drugs helped and a nice hot shower, then back down to P’s again. When I arrived he was fast asleep in the chair so I delivered the cards around the neighbours that he’d eventually written, hoovered round, and sorted some email for him. Once he’d woken we had a chat about how he’s getting on, his trouble sleeping at night and family news.
Made him some lunch that he ate more of this time, then back to T&Kt’s and Mt&H and the wee ones (and Higgs the dog) arrived shortly after. Mayhem…..! We put out all the leftovers and ate and chatted and exchanged presents. I was really pleased at how much Mx loved the set of little metal Minecraft figures I’d bought him. He played with them non stop all afternoon (and AR was definitely after them too!)
I took AR and Mx for the traditional wander round to the playground as dusk fell just to get rid of some of their energy and have some chats with them….as usual Mx full of conversation about everything going on in his head (we had to talk through all the injuries he’s ever had and whether he’s still got scars and how much blood there was, triggered by him hurting his knee!).
Once they’d packed up and set off we three went over to Kt’s Mum and L’s house for curry supper with them. T very quiet, still feeling rubbish and dead tired. We left fairly early and we’re all in bed by 9.30! Kt sets off early in the morning for a few days in France with her Dad.
