A day in the life

The small musician group we put together for the dancing-out-Christmas gig on Saturday, had it's first and only rehearsal today. The violinist lives along my way so I picked him up. Opposite his home I noticed this beautiful old barn-wall that wanted to be the blip of the day. It's hay-days are long past but the traces of time triggers images from the past, when life was perhaps simpler but also harder, with challenges we can only imagine.

The music is very simple and we all know it so the rehearsal was more of a play-through of the songs. More on the reception of our struggles on Saturday.

After lunch I had a haircut and a "Semla", the seasonal bun with whipped cream on top.
Later, a yoga and then a long session by the computer listening to songs, reactions and a concert by one of my heroes, guitarist Jeff Beck, who passed away yesterday. A man who created new paths in music, a vegetarian and non-drug humble person who showed a huge respect for his fellow musicians and didn't live up to the rock-star image. Here, a clip with Imogene Heap.
