The Sun, Actually

Quel surpris! The sun actually came out today! It showed up in the afternoon and then noticeably...for all to see...set! But alas, I was on FaceTime at that precise moment and missed the excitement of seeing it go down..but I did actually see the sun itself earlier in the day..after three weeks....and I recognized it! Behold...the sun! 

I made a very quick trip down to the lake to at least catch some evidence that the sun had actually risen and had, therefore, set..and to capture a bit of colour. At this stage, any colour in the sky was a bonus, so I took advantage of what was there...which was a good idea as the weather forecast for after the weekend is for another whole week of grey skies!

Perhaps the weather forecast should be colour-coded.."It will be a grey to charcoal day tomorrow, but Monday will bring a touch of Cerulean blue with a hint of soft lemon yellow and just before sunset, watch for a dash of burnt orange.. Tuesday will be grey again, all day, no hope of colour, so don't bother getting your camera out."
