It's Mono Monday!

It's Mono Monday and for the first time in ages, I've decided to post an entry.  This week's theme, set by January's host Skeena, is 'Light and/or Dark'.  I had expected this morning to be frosty but instead it was spitting with rain and dark and gloomy when I went to pick up Mr MC after he had dropped off his car for its MOT.  I had thought that a walk around Connaught Water might be in order but it was far too miserable so I settled for some shots at Barn Hoppitt car park.  I did photograph the Queen Elizabeth Hunting Lodge and Butler's Retreat, both of which have featured here before, but in the end have settled for a shot of some forest trees which in their wintry form which do look dark against the leaden sky.
