A visit to the steppes!

A better day today - down to zero last night. Sorting pictures before an early lunch, then off to the steppes with Laura, a fellow Keep Oban Beautiful volunteer - the steppes in this case being those of Jacob's Ladder. Laura wanted to scramble down the bank a bit so she threw the rubbish up to the top for me to bag. We collected six bags altogether and then tipped everything out and sorted it into recyclable and otherwise. I really don't understand why people throw unopened bottles of drink over the side! I found a very nice wine glass too - obviously we have a better class of drinker here in Oban - no drinking out of the bottle in this case! A lovely sunny afternoon too!

While we were doing that a peckish robin flew down and did his own sorting through the rubbish - he's my extra today. A local café owner let us use his recycling bins to dispose of it all.

Photo Club tonight. One of our members has just set off on a tour of Thailand and Laos and will be sending a daily email with pictures to a list of friends. 20 degrees in Bangkok today - he had to take his jacket off! Poor man.
