Wonderful winter

Such a glorious walk this morning I’m afraid I’ve copped out and made a collage as I couldn't choose.

Lovely colours over the snow dusted field with the sun finally appearing across the golf course. Large parts of Coppice Pond were frozen. The swans being holed up in one ice free corner as before but something new today was seeing the swan nibbling away at the ice to get closer to us for feeding.
After seeing that I just had to stop and feed them.

The other ladies had continued on the path and spotted two foxes gambling in the field above the Archery. I just caught one of them running away to the wood at the top of the field.

These are some of the pluses of walking early.

The tree that was still across the path at the start of our walk (featured in some blips last week) had completely gone when we returned an hour later. All sawn up and just some logs, sawdust and the tracks of the truck that had obviously brought whoever came and did it!

A quick trip to M&S at Owlcoats to see if they had the gf Colin the Caterpillar biscuit mixes that Grace had found on the Coeliac site. Result!

About to head over to Ilkley to the cinema and then we’ll stop for fish and chips on the way home.

A good start to a good day.
