A Day In The Life

Bird’s Eye View

I was so pleased to see this White-throated Sparrow hanging around our patio Christmas tree. The tree has a string of solar lights that brings it to life at night, something the deer don’t seem to mind at all. When the snow is gone we’ll remove it, but for now the birds appreciate the added shelter • After a few errands this morning we put boots on, pulled hats down over ears, slipped on heavy mittens, grabbed our shovels and headed to the backyard to clear more snow from Monday’s storm. A snow rake helped clear one roof, but the other roof will have to wait until tomorrow afternoon. I was just too tired to continue! If the forecast holds tonight’s snow/rain will be by us by midday tomorrow so I can finish the other roof before the temperature drops at night. Maine shouldn’t be getting rain in January! • While putting out seeds for the birds and deer, I smiled at the deer prints visible in the path I shoveled yesterday :) • Be Well, Blip Friends!
