Mincemeat Bakewell

We had a very lazy start to the day. Even Minstrel had a long lie-in and was, himself late for Cat-Feeding Time, so cosy on our bed next to where one of my hot water bottles was. 

In the afternoon we (Bri and I) stirred our bones and headed over to Retford to see Jeri and the family. Grace and Sophia travelled over too, and Paul made a wonderful vegan curry with chickpeas, cauliflower and butternut squash, served with rice - so tasty!

The mincemeat Bakewell tart is not vegan, but there were cookie dough brownies for Grace and Sophia, which I also sampled - both bakes were of course delicious! 

I'm glad to report that last night at work we only had friendly, decent customers, all of whom were prepared to pay the going rate for their food!
