Stepping it out

Our wedding anniversary today, 54 years....well done us !!

Because there were other activities going on today, we decided to go out for breakfast, we love doing breakie, never a disappointment.

A hair cut followed.  Doug had golf croquet and I had some photography that needed to get done.

I needed a black and white photo for 52 frames and had in mind this silo which I've photographed many times, its a giver particularly when the sun is shining giving great shadows.  Not to be today, so I concentrated on the stairs against the overcast sky.  That was OK as well.
I've kept it to its original colour of deep blue, but converted to black and white for the 52frames entry.
I took this out the car window, shortly after a man came over to ask me what I was photographing and why.  I explained and showed him the photos from the back of the camera and he was satisfied and friendly.  Really odd, as I was on a public street and quite within my rights.
(There were no people anywhere to be seen).

Auckland city and nearby areas have been hammered again.  Farms flooded, homes slipping down hills, some onto beaches, roads washed away. Seeing the TV pictures, and listening to Auckland folk and their stories have bought tears to my eyes.  So tragic.
