Happy Ending

The local FB pages are awash with pictures of tonight's sunset and afterglow.  Think you can see why!

It's been a lovely winter's day.  Lots of sunshine, if sometimes milky, chill but not too cold.  A much needed boost after a grey spell.  I got some laundry dry outside and finally returned the Christmas decs to the loft (I keep the tree until Candlemas so this is not as extreme as it sounds!)   Meg had a walk this morning as Jamie and I had an afternoon adventure planned.   We took the train up the coast to Morfa Mawddach and then walked the last mile to Barmouth, crossing the Mawddach estuary on the railway bridge footpath.   Fantastic views inland as always but hard work for Jamie, the replacement timbers in the path being unweathered, were taller than the older ones making the path uneven and needing constant vigilance and some tiring wheelchair dexterity.  We still had a good time, sitting for a while looking out across the harbour and picking up ice creams before catching the train home.  A nice little outing.

Home in time to take C and the Megs out for a walk along the riverbank.  I needed to have a chat with my brother Steve, sitting watching the afterglow fade while we talked on the phone.   What a sunset, bright colours in the clouds through 360 degrees!
