Marching

This wasn't going to be my blip but an evening, sitting on the patio with friend H (here overnight) drinking rose wine meant the time ran away from me. The sun has been in such short supply that it's impossible not to enjoy it when it does show.

So I have to fall back on an earlier photo, also affected by the sun. There was much discussion on the office about yesterday's Farage farago. My blood boiled when I heard him on R4 his morning. C spoke to some of the protestors outside the pub - not 'fascist yobbos', not Nats but protesting left wing students.
There was also much debate about 'the Homecoming Parade'. Was it the army, was it Norwegians celebrating Norway's Constitution Day? No it was the ship's company of HMS Edinburgh marching up the Royal Mile to the beat of a drum to mark its decommissioning. There were quite a few locals in the streets to see them go past, supporting the British navy. The two young men who run the shop at the top of the Close said it made them proud. And note to Farage, they are Scottish, British with Asian family heritage.
