A day in the life

Much of the day has gone planning and rigging for the premiere of the small stage at the theatre in Kalmar called the "Soup-stage", meaning you get an hour of entertainment, together with a bowl of soup plus a coffee and a cake for about 30€. Premiere artist was Ida, or Adée, as her artist name is. I was asked to be the technician of the event and since it's the first of the season, it took a lot of extra time to get the stage set. But, everything was great, the music, the performance and of course, the sound.

It has also been a wonderful spring day so before rigging the stage, there was time for a longish walk along the coastline of Kalmar, past the castle all the way to the local beach. Imagine living somewhere where there is a living castle. Living, in the sense that it's a vivid museum with tons of activities and exhibitions the year around. Once the castle was the last frontier to Denmark but today we're the best of friends. Imagine The Ukraine and Russia as best friends. For us, it took a few hundred years but we made it in the end. Theres still hope in the world. It makes a nice blip too.
