A Calmer Time

Our calendar was clear today so hubby invited me out to run his errands and explore a bit. We picked up his new sword case that had been embroidered with his assembly patch and his name. We decided to wander down a road that might go to the Breton Bay. We also found a small county park at the beach. How have I never been there before? It was small but all ours. I found a few pieces of sea glass, small pieces of ancient bricks and sea shells entwined with the typical seashell collection washed up on the beach. There were large seed pods on the beach. The Seek app identified them as from a Kentucky Coffeetree. That’s a new one for me. My first photos were of a bay that was as calm as a sheet of glass. Before we left, the high tide softly approached the shore and I liked the look even better. Really like the sun twinkling off the water. We delivered a donation for young nuns from our parish, picked up a sub and had lunch at another county wharf/playground. Seagulls provided our entertainment. We enjoyed a walk along the boardwalk. My DIL had prepared leftovers from yesterday’s dinner for us since we were unable to join them. We grabbed them on the way home. It was nap time when we returned. We could not have spent a more pleasant day. Sending wishes that yours was as nice. Thanks for dropping by. Stay safe. washed up by the (bay) ocean."
