a lifetime burning

The Langdale Cliffs

An early start today, as it's due to be fine and bright all day, so the best time for photography was going to be golden hour.  It was about -3C in the Langdale Valley at 6am and felt much colder than that.  The view of the sun hitting The Langdales at dawn was worth it though.

There's still some snow up there, but not a lot.  All the snow seems to be elsewhere today.  We're due for quite a lot of it on Thursday, which will no doubt be "interesting".
