Thursday: Clematis

It snowed all night and all morning but changed to rain by this afternoon. Temperature around 3°C all day and 2°C tonight - windy too and very chilly. 
The new growth on the clematis is surprising considering how wintry the weather has been, it’s also on the windiest corner of the garden, I hope it survives and flowers.
MrD went off with the shopping list this morning whilst I cooked up a big pan of Leek and Potato soup using our homegrown leeks - perfect for lunch on a cold day!
We watched film “Faraway” this evening - https://youtu.be/2stkk0yy0ao - beautiful scenery and a nice story … forgetting the weather for a while!
