Fighting through

The sun melted a lot of snow during the day yesterday and we got out without too much problem for our lunch with the ladies, but there is still a lot left and after a nighttime low of  -10 what remains is quite crispy on top too!

We have lovely sunshine and blue skies again and I’ve put a load of towels out on the line. These lovely striped crocus flowers have emerged from the snow and are now opening up to the sun. The daffodils in the pots at the front don’t look quite as happy but hopefully they will recover.

An afternoon of 6 nations rugby and a bit of jigsaw calls now.
We shall have to wait and see if the forecast for more snow tonight happens, no sign yet, before the milder weather arrives tomorrow and next week.

The same lovely crocus flowers were my blip last year but instead of snow they were full of bees
