Golden Hare

There was a few more loads of washing this morning, some chores and then I went out for a run – just over five miles today and it almost felt good!  I got home to find BB lying under a blanket on the sofa.  He had moved from his bed and created another, he wished me a Happy Mother’s Day.  Later he acknowledged that it was Mother’s Day with a lovely bunch of tulips and a box of chocolates.  There was no card as they were all terrible apparently .  He had checked them out in Tesco and in the Co-op!

TT and I popped out for some fresh air this afternoon and had a wander around the community woodland at Gifford and around by Broadwoodside.  It was a pleasant walk, with lots of interest, but was quite muddy underfoot in places – hardly surprising given recent rain.  We saw frogs cavorting in the pond – but no sign of frogspawn yet.  We came home via the supermarket where we did a biggish shop.  TT was on tea tonight and he conjured up a lovely moussaka (my choice) – although BB really wanted lasagne.

While TT was cooking, I was tackling an ironing mountain and BB was revising for a test.  Somehow the evening just slipped away.

There’s always something interesting to spot on today’s walking route.
