A view from Jeanneb

A fun Saturday morning.

Very wild and wet through the night but bright skies again this morning though the wind remained.

Eda and Jude were both busy playing before they had breakfast and the yummy waffles daddy made.
I brought a game for Eda, a fairytale version of ‘Snakes and Ladders’ so today she played it with Boppa. She was Puss in Boots and he was Rumpelstiltskin and she managed to win so was very happy. Unfortunately I won last night.
Jude was busy copying daddy and making pancakes in her own kitchen. Both were dressed up of course.

When everyone was ready we took the bikes down to Alice Park. Jude on her balance bike, that was previously Eda’s and Eda on her pedal bike. There is a good cycle track in the park which they use for cycling proficiency. After a little coaching for reassurance she was soon off pedalling away, Jude was stoically plodding around.

Soon a friend of Eda’s arrived from her preschool days and off they went to play in the play area. It’s a lovely park and there was lots going on. A couple of games of Pétanque were taking place and then a drum band arrived which Jude enjoyed dancing to with mummy. Extra. So lucky to have this on their doorstep.

For once we didn’t go to the cafe but went back for lunch so Eda could get ready for a party this afternoon. We took that as time to leave. Jude was going out to help daddy in the garden she didn’t seem put out that she was left behind.

We called at Dyrham Park (NT) which is just a few miles away and on our route home; they have a shop so I can save on postage on the things I really like from there.

Then it was sunshine all the way home.

Just nicely in. The cat is pleased to see us and it’s only just over 2 weeks till we’re back again. Hopefully it will be real spring by then as BBQ’s were mentioned!
