A day in the life

By Shelling

Oh no, no snow!

First day of summer came the backlash. We all know they come, this isn't the last one and I've lived long enough not to let them affect me much.

We set the clock forward an hour and calls it "summer-time". The point of it is to give us more light in the evenings. I remember when the changing of clocks twice a year arrived, many year ago, the arguments were about how much more easy our trade with Europe would be, simplified import and export would increase the wealth in Sweden. No one talks about that anymore, now the arguments comes from medical people who tells us how much better it is for our organism to get the extra light when we can use it. About half of the population doesn't want the change at all. As a pensioner I don't care anymore.
