We enjoyed another leisurely and tasty breakfast watching the ferry coming and going before finishing our packing and checking out.

We arrived in good time for ferry (such good time that it hadn’t left Sconser) which allowed time to explore the harbour area and think back on our time on Raasay. I really enjoyed it and hope to go back.

Our arrival on Skye was a bit of a washout, literally and metaphorically, as there was very heavy rain which paid to our plans to wander around Portree before going to local shinty match. We futtered around, managing one short walk between showers and headed to Skye Camanachd’s ground only to find the game had been cancelled.

We then headed to our hotel for the night thinking we could at least sit in the comforts of the lounge if we couldn’t check in early. Not only could we check in early but we’re given a bigger room. Things were brightening up :-)

The weather brightened up too and we headed our for a walk coming across St Columbia’s Isle which was a fascinating place to visit with a ruined catherdral, a cemetery and an interesting history. A fascinating place to visit.

Now relaxing in room before dinner - we may even treat ourselves to aperitifs before hand.
