Hot Cross Bun Loaf

Today’s lunch, prepared by Smithers. 

He sneaked in a couple of hot cross bun loaves to our recent tea and coffee order from Betty’s, and popped them in the freezer. He took the first loaf out last night, and served us each a slice for our lunch today, lightly toasted, with a wedge of Wensleydale cheese. 

It was absolutely mouth-wateringly delicious. I closed my eyes and was instantly transported in my mind to Betty’s Café at the RHS Gardens at Harlow Carr, Harrogate.
