Quod oculus meus videt

The Woodbridge, Coalport

We had a great day visiting our oldest friends in their new home outside Much Wenlock in Shropshire.  After a tour of the home we headed over to Coalport for a spot of lunch.

The pub was called the Woodbridge, to reflect a wooden bridge that crossed the Severn River at this point.  The wooden bridge is long gone, replaced by an iron bridge, very similar in design to the more famous iron bridge to the west, but smaller.
