Charlie

Or Bonny Prince Charlie. The ill-fated chap who precipitated the dispersal of the clans after his failed uprising. Here is where it all began at Glenfinnan in 1745 where he rallied people to his standard. 

In the other direction is Glenfinnan Viaduct of Harry Potter fame and which has caused a big new car park to accommodate all the resultant oglers! 

We had a lovely journey up to the head of Loch Duich through beautiful scenery bathed in sunshine and covered by a bright blue sky. Even the Commandos Memorial in a bleak landscape looked stunning (extra)!

Now ensconced in M'vanwee under the towering mountains. It's awesome scenery, in the literal sense of the word, but a bit overwhelming. I wouldn't like it so much if the weather wasn't quite so clear.
