As a change from garden centres Kanyl and I took Clickychick to Nichol End Marine so that she could sample their scones.  They are the largest scones I have ever seen or eaten.

We then continued on round the Lake doing the tourist thing and admiring the views.  In our younger days, Kettlewell was a favourite spot for launching the canoe, so we had to stop there.  I saw the first Mallard ducklings of the season, a nice brood of eight.

As an afterthought, our membership of the SNT is worth its money in Lake District car park fees alone.
