Under the Fence

Similar weather to yesterday, except sunny for the whole day. Early mornings still are cold, only about 2 degrees above zero.

I was in an association's spring meeting for a couple of hours at noon. Then the dinner, a nap and now in the evening out with Mr S. We went to the garden just to check the need to buy soil, peat and woodchip mulch. Then on the way back home we were going around the region we live just to look at the spring. The picture is taken under the fence from the street lower than the yard. It's the area where there are over a hundred years old wooden houses with their gardens, very desirable, and that is now protected as culturally and historically valuable. At the end of the 60s, the area was threatened with demolition, but it was saved. The area is already some time called The garden city. The houses are renewed and gardens restored to original plan made then the same person who has planned the flower plantings in the allotment garden we have the plot. This wooden house area is such a beautiful place, and we feel lucky to live by it.
