Half Moon

I was watching the aurora alerts this afternoon with half a plan to head up to the lake if things started to fire up.  They didn't so I didn't. Instead of looking south then, I looked north and found half a moon.  Has anyone seen the other half?  For the life of me I can't remember where I put it.
