Maiden Hair Tree Bonsai

I’ve had this little ginkgo (aka maidenhair tree) for years. How it survives in this little pot escapes me. It is just turning golden (buttercup yellow) for autumn. It is an ancient species which is similar to fossils of plants dating back to the Middle Jurassic period 170 million years ago. 

My cold has improved a bit but I’m still feeling lethargic. I’ve pottered around but not gone out much. Next door they have put up scaffolding because they are going to replace the roof. It’s cold and grey so not good for the outdoors.
