I love to catch that
first light over the mountains.
It can make my day!

I was awake just after 5 and could see some light in the sky. I got up, donned my lovely new pair of compression socks and made off for Vantage Point near the airport. 

I walked a short distance on the Rivers Trail to catch a view of my mountains beyond the river. 

I found a handsome pair of common mergansers fishing along the float plane dock. They are hard to follow as they duck and dive as they move on the river. It always amuses me that the female is the showy one with her red 'hair'. 

I caught the sun just over the hills as I walked back to my car. My day is complete!

I'm home for the day. There's lots of stitching left to do.
