Day at a Time

Dog Violet

Made a fairly early start this morning and walked one of the River Oich forest trails. Only 3.5 miles but what a gorgeous stroll. There were lots of wildflowers and for this week's challenge, thank you Miranda, I've chosen this pretty dog violet.  Back into Fort Augustus for coffee then a look at the very end of Loch Ness with the pepperpot lighthouse,  built in 1840,  in the extra. There are three of these lighthouses on the Caledonian Canal. They are the smallest lighthouses in Britain.

I am planning a walk to a nearby cemetery with historic graves this afternoon then back into the village to see about somewhere to eat later. That's not proving terribly easy but I'm sure there'll be somewhere to accommodate us.

Thanks for understanding about the comments off business. We are, so far, very fortunate to have dry and sunny weather so  outside is where I want to be.
