Life through the lens...

By ValC

What a walk!!

Bishop Monkton is a village I had not visited before.
That is one of the joys of joining our walking group. You get to see so many places that you have passed by and never seen before.

This is such a picturesque village, and I would say one of the most beautiful in North Yorkshire.
A hidden gem just off the road between Harrogate and Ripon.
(Would love to live there!)
See details on their web site see here

Again decided a collage was the best for todays blip.

Top left Village Sign.

Next... Are you sure this is the right way! Our path took us through this free range hen farm!!!

Top right....Passed by St Michael's and all Angels church Littlethorpe. Was lovely to hear the organ playing and the congregation singing.

Bottom left .....Some of our members giving a helping hand at one of the locks on the Ripon canal.

Middle right......Paddle your own canoe! This happy bunch of people passed us by on the canal. 4 of these actually.

Bottom middle......Wire horse sculpture outside an artist's studio in the village on the way back.

Bottom right....Topiary rooster , again in one of the gardens on our way through the village.

Glorious day again.
Finished with a shandy outside the pub!

Hope you have all enjoyed lovely weather too.
